| Ripley is a small and beautiful village about three miles from Harrogate which has been in the ownership of the Ingilby family for centuries. Sir Thomas still occupies the castle and is a great supporter of the club providing hospitality for visiting bands at the excellent Boar's Head Bistro.
In his recent book Dr Richard Muir describes the Hotel de Ville - "a sort of village town hall, eccentrically continental - the style is Gothic revival and within the energetically soaring lines of the exterior was a worthy interior which contained a lecture hall, baronial in style." Built in 1854 it has taken a while for the Town Hall to boogie but in 1999 it discovered the blues! |

"Great crowd, great soundmen who clearly love what they do, great beer... "Firstly, may I say that without doubt, you have a really wonderful club in Ripley and a beautiful and unique venue. Thank you again for the opportunity to perform there." Simon Currie, 2010.
